NatHERS (Thermal Comfort), BASIX, and ESD design advice
A NatHERS Assessment focuses on assessing the building shells construction materials including walls, floors, insulation, windows and roofs that are used to build the house. A Star rating out of 10 is achieved, based on how much artificial heating and cooling is required to keep your home comfortable. You will need to achieve a minimum of 7 Stars to gain compliance.
BASIX is a NSW Government planning measure to reduce household electricity and water use for new homes and renovations. BASIX reviews your Thermal Comfort, Water, Energy, and embodied carbon in your construction materials commitments to ensure you are achieving minimum requirements. A good BASIX Assessment will result in lower carbon emissions and cheaper power bills.
We provide Environmentally Sustainable Design advice for your project, specialising in thermal comfort, water, energy and construction techniques to achieve maximum sustainability, and help you to prepare for DA or CDC submission. We also like to keep up to date with the latest building materials and products. Whilst we have no affiliation with any manufacturers or suppliers, we will often be able to recommend a product based on our large customer base's feedback and experience with their projects.
